About the Department
The Basic Sciences Department is a cornerstone of the college. It enhances students’ knowledge and skills in core scientific disciplines, strengthening their ability to meet the rigorous demands of their majors. The department teaches students from all programs in Mathematics, Physics, Language Skills, Technical/Academic Writing, and Communication Skills, in addition to a range of college core and elective requirements. Our mission is to elevate students’ proficiency in these areas to international standards.
