About the Program
This program focuses on sustaining performance and efficiency of electric and hybrid vehicles by diagnosing and servicing battery systems, electric motors, and power control units (inverters/ECUs), while ensuring the integrity of other electronic and mechanical subsystems. It aims to improve vehicle reliability, reduce failures, and extend lifecycle. Hands-on training allows students to apply technical concepts on real vehicles and workshop projects.
Automotive electrics, high-voltage safety (HV), insulation/testing procedures.
Battery diagnostics (SoH/SoC), Battery Management Systems (BMS), and service.
Electric motors (PM/IM), hybrid drivetrains, and powertrains.
Power electronics: inverters/converters and control modules.
Charging systems (AC/DC), connector standards, and protocols.
OBD-II/UDS diagnostics, reading and tracing DTCs.
