A program that prepares students to design, operate, and maintain clean-energy systems such as solar PV, wind turbines, and battery storage, and to integrate them with electrical grids. It emphasizes electrical fundamentals, performance measurement, safety, interconnection standards, and project management/reporting skills.
Career Paths
- Roles in renewable power generation and transmission systems (wind, solar, etc.).
- Positions with construction/engineering firms in the energy sector.
- Jobs with companies supplying and selling alternative-energy systems.
- Roles in ministries and public agencies (e.g., Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources, electricity utilities).
- Additional paths: Site/Field Engineer, O&M Engineer, Energy Auditor, Technical Consultant.
Admission Requirements
- General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) or equivalent.
- Minimum high-school average of 50% or higher for Jordanian students.
- Compliance with streams and admission rules set by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education.
